Updating the web store software

IA Modules regularly releases updates to the web store software to enable new features and fix newly discovered issues. You can update your software yourself by signing in to your web store's admin panel and clicking the "Admin" tab. There is a link to update the software. It will tell you what version # you are currently running, and if there is an update available. If there is, you can choose to update the software.

Software updates are designed with backwards compatibility in mind for existing site designs. However, some new features may require additional design work or that you download new files to your FTP folder.

Before updating your software, make sure that you read the release information and understand what the potential impact is on your site. Updating may cause a brief interruption in your service. Make sure no active synchronization is taking place.
