Starting the Program

To start the sync program click the start menu on your desktop and go to all programs. In the program list you should see “IAM Synch Server”. From there click the run.bat command. This will open another window and text will start to scroll up the screen, this is the output of the program while it is running, it will usually take about a minute to start up completely. This program must always be running so that it can continue to synchronize your information from QuickBooks as it changes.

Stopping the Program

If you need to shut down the sync program select the “Shutdown IAM Server” in the program list. (Do NOT close the IAM server window or Quickbooks without shutting the sync program down first. Do NOT change the name of your QB company file without contacting support first. You won't be able to sync and you could reset the data causing the server to be restored from a previous nightly backup which could take several hours or more.)
