Synchronizing with the Web Server

When the program has completely started you will get a pop up window letting you know the program has started successfully. This screen will also give you a link such as http://localhost:8080/Login.jsp that you can click to bring you to the log in screen for the local installation. Log in using the username and password that were provided to you, which you can change at any time.

Once logged in, you will see a screen giving you information on which version you are using as well as a “Help” and “Admin” tab at the top. The “Help” tab gives you basic info on the SAM program and it's functions that you can review. Clicking the “Admin” tab will bring you to the SAM Administration screen. The important options that you will need here is the “Force Re-Synch” and the “Force Full item Re-Synch”. Force Re-Synch is used to synchronize immediately.If you want to update your complete item list from QuickBooks, use “Force Full Item Re-Synch”. These are the only two options that you will use on the local end.
